Technology has enabled communication to evolve in ways never before deemed possible.  Since the development of the telegraph, with every new invention communication seems evolve into faster, near instant methods (ie texting).  There is not doubt that technology plays a key role in how we communicate today in personal and professional circles.  That leads to wonder, "What is the role of technology in communication when it comes to learning?"

 

Learning is something that is typically done in groups, ideas are shared and communicated. Through investigating current and upcoming educational technology trends, one can discover ways to improve learning experiences from past and present educational theorists. In examining online tools for collaboration and idea sharing, along with various media formats, one is able to determine the most impactful ways to communicate ideas to specific audiences. Through ongoing discussion and analysis of existing digital learning resources, one can grow in understanding and evaluating the value of digital tools for educational use, and how to share that information with others.
